As my husband and I sat down to start off the new year with one of our best friends and accountability partners, he began the meeting with his explanation of why he had No More Excuses. He basically said, he had used every one that he had and was out of them. He had already tried this one and that one and borrowed some from others and now he had exhausted all his excuses. He honestly had no more excuses as to why he couldn't accomplish his goals.
At the end of our conversation I reasoned, I didn't have any either. Furthermore, God's words says:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7 (NIV)
How was Jesus able to accomplish his earthly agenda, as well as his heavenly, all in 33 years? He didn't wait until he went through a list of excuses; he went to the list of God’s promises instead. We are promised that if we ask then it is given, if we seek we will find and if we knock the door will be open. So he has left us with No More Excuses. Take God's promises over your excuses and accomplish all he has planned for you.
